The 2019  dogs survey are over. In total, 12 countings were conducted in Ukrainian cities and 5 new cities and organizations joined us. 

Volunteers from Sumy saved the calf from slaughter. The animal had wounds and the owner did not want to treat. When zoo-defenders knows  about this story , they immediately bought the bull. We named his - King , and already finish all treatment . Now the King  is regaining his strength, grazing in the meadow , eating a lot . We would like to find a permanent home for him . When he can live his life calmly and not become someone else's cutlet when he grows up.

On June 14-16, 2019, homeless dogs were counted in the city of Chernivtsi. In total, 2447 has been counted. The number has slightly increased compared with 2018. Also, the rate of sterilized dogs decreased, and the number of domestic animals increased.

On June 2, 2019, homeless dogs were counted in Vinnytsia.

Compared to 2016, the total number of dogs decreased significantly from 1865 to 1079 and increased the percentage of sterilized animals.

On May 17-19, 2019, a recount of homeless dogs in Kryvy Rih was held.

The results of the caunting showed that the number of street dogs significantly decreased compared with 2017.

On May 13-15, 2019 homeless dogs were counted in Mirgorod.

A total of 480 dogs were found.

On May 10-12, 2019, counting of stray dogs was made in Chuguev. There were 317 stray dogs on the streets of the city.

On May 4-6, 2019, representatives of the NGO "Faithful Heart" and the Faithful Friends, together with the NGO "International Registration Systems" counted stray dogs in Ternopil.

LKP "Lev" together with Animal-id.info decided to create a blood bank in Lviv. It will function on the basis of LKP "Lev". The communal enterprise has a room for a blood bank, so you just have to buy the equipment. Animal-id.info will develop an electronic database of donors, which will allow users to quickly find the animal with the appropriate blood group if necessary.

In Drohobych, mandatory identification and registration of pets were introduced. Electronic registration of animals will not only control the number of pets, but also prevent the growth of the number of homeless dogs and cats and increase the level of responsibility of people with four-legged friends.

Unfortunately, pets are lost every day and only 10-15% can be found, others replenish the "army" of homeless animals!
